Because a teacher on the other side of a room 'pointing' a knife and stating that he was using it as an example to explain a concept is not, by any stretch of the imagination, a threat. Unless of course you are an idiot like you. Then I guess I should amend that to a stretch of an idiots imagination.

You missed teaching your young one what a threat actually is, rather than imagined.
You missed learning yourself what a teaching example is when taught by someone who was actually using an example to teach. Maybe if you were a teacher you would have known that. Oh, wait......
