Get Ready For An Ass Kicking

Get Ready For An Ass Kicking

LOL!

Nice Politico article.

Let's quote: "said a Republican from that state." "a Republican from that state insisted" "Added a Florida Republican" "aid another Florida Republican" "wrote one New Hampshire Republican." "Said a Virginia Republican" "said one Florida Democrat." "said one Florida Republican" "Added another Iowa Republican" "a New Hampshire Republican said"

Well that certainly was a convincingly detailed report.

Seriously, you'd have to live deep in the bubble for that story to rate as anything more than a commentary on the poor state of today’s media.

Up Close with a Member of the Gun Cult

Up Close with a Member of the Gun Cult

Oh boy.

"...the instructor pulled out a knife and said, "Here's a way you can threaten someone without a gun." He then proceeded to point it at her.

Needless to say, I notified the police and hopefully this asshat will be put in his place. What is it exactly about the Gun Cult that they feel the need to threaten people all the time?"

He threatened her? With a knife? By pointing it? Oh really? Do tell more.

Seriously, tell more. Like how far away he was? Like those persnikkety things like intent. You know, things that actually need to be present to be an actual threat. Because a teacher on the other side of a room 'pointing' a knife and stating that he was using it as an example to explain a concept is not, by any stretch of the imagination, a threat. Unless of course you are an idiot like you. Then I guess I should amend that to a stretch of an idiots imagination.

You missed out on a real learning opportunity there Marxy. For both your daughter and yourself apparently.

You missed teaching your young one what a threat actually is, rather than imagined.

You missed learning yourself what a teaching example is when taught by someone who was actually using an example to teach. Maybe if you were a teacher you would have known that. Oh, wait......

This article at Vox describes Marxy to a tee...

The smug style in American liberalism

The trouble is that stupid hicks don't know what's good for them. They're getting conned by right-wingers and tent revivalists until they believe all the lies that've made them so wrong. They don't know any better. That's why they're voting against their own self-interest.

My goodness. This isn't describing M, this is damn well quoting him....errr....verbatim. :)

The Glory of the Free Market

The Glory of the Free Market

Marxy thinks this is pithy....

No word on what he thinks of this...

Heh!

Quoting Vox:

Cargo Cult debate

"It is important to understand that if you're prone to demanding "peer reviewed pieces" or shouting "logical fallacy" at people with whom you are arguing, you're probably a midwit who doesn't really understand what you're talking about. In both these, and other similar cases, what we have is a person who has seen someone else win an argument successfully refuting another individual's argument by comparing scientific evidence or identifying a specific logical fallacy being committed, and trying to imitate them without understanding what the other person was actually doing."

It's almost like Vox has had a run in with Marxy or a reasonable facsimile thereof.

And then there's this...

Turning the Lens on the Gun Culture

I've been asking friends of mine who are gun owners why exactly they own them and one thing I've noticed about nearly all of them is they have something in their lives that makes them feel insecure and weak.

As opposed to Mark, where I notice everytime he complains about guns it's because that is something in his life that makes him feel insecure and weak.....

Oh Nikto...no....

UnitedHealth Can't Compete

N states this:

It can only be profitable by charging people for health care they don't use.

Huh, that's pretty much the EXACT argument Marxy used when debating why Obamacare was necessary. It apparently is OK when the government forces healthy people to pay for health care they don't use. But I guess it's pure evil when a private company does the same in a voluntary arrangement.

Whites Still Not Getting It

Whites Still Not Getting It

He's says this:

"Until we reconcile the fact that the fallout from the institution of slavery is still having a massively detrimental effect on the fabric of our society, we can't even begin to address the issues that black people face every day."

Right after saying this:

" Likewise, in Canada researchers found that emails from stereotypically black names seeking apartments are less likely to get responses from landlords."

Tell me again about the long history of slavery and how it's institution in Canada is tearing that country's fabric apart?
