I deleted your comment, GD, because you broke the rule regarding arguments about arguments/personal remarks/childish taunting

Now that you have been provided with the information, do you have any comment?

I'm not going to comment on a single source of information unless we're talking about mere opinion. Since the article is presenting this stuff as fact, I'd like to see some more sources that say the same thing...non bubble sources.

My overall comment still stands....so what? Conservatives should be focusing on why their policies would be better for the country. Now why aren't they doing that?:)

This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.
(Here I explained to him that another source was not necessary as all he needed to do was read the link provided to find all the information neccesary to make a judgement.)

So it doesn't matter that she may have lied, committed crimes, leaked confidential information to foreign governments...or was just too monumentally stupid to know better - these things don't matter when discussing the potential next Democratic Presidential candidate.

What's really, really important is to turn the focus upon the Republicans......

You can't keep claiming that the piece is an opinion when everytime I show you that it isn't you delete my comment.

Further comments I will post here as comments.

Another day, another bout of 'reasoned discourse'.

I'm still not sure how this is all going to work. I had a vision of simply posting all comments here rather than at Markadelphia to eliminate the dreaded random administrator deletion.

A couple problems with that. One, I tend to read and post at random and many of those replies happen during a few spare moments and are posted from my phone. I suppose I could post here from the phone but haven't worked that out yet.

The other is that replies are not only posted regarding the original post but also in rebuttal to other replies. Anyway, not sure yet. We'll see how I work this out.

Edit. Yeah, no way to do this other than to simply post my replies here as well as there in order to keep context and so I don't forget what I posted before Mark deletes it.

Welcome to the blog.

I'm GuardDuck and I'm a commenter. I enjoy reading and commenting on blogs. One of the blogs I've regularly visited is 'Welcome to Markadelphia'.

Recently, the proprietor, Mark, has resorted to reasoned discourse and begun moderating comments. I don't have a problem with moderating comments - when said moderation is to remove obvious spam or trolling.

But in this case Mark is moderating based upon, by what I can tell, a criteria of "if I don't like what you have to say".

I gave his new system an opportunity to see if he could be honest. I believe he has failed.

Now, of course I agree that it is his blog and can do with it what he wishes. Not claiming otherwise. But if what he wishes to do is resort to dishonest conversation and the blocking of ideas he doesn't like, then I'm not going to participate on his terms.

On the other hand, I also have no desire to give up the pulpit just because he has became a bully. His posts spout many topics that need to be discussed and rebutted.

Thus this blog.

I have in the past had a blog, but found myself to be much more likely to just comment at other people's blogs. In this case I hope to simply use this space as an open and honest place to discuss, without censorship, those comments that would have been discussed at Markadelphia.

I know one of the first things Mark will do is claim that I am obsessed with him, and claim this blog as proof of such.

He may say what he wants. I comment at other blogs daily. All this blog contains is comments I would have posted at his site, but for the 'reasoned discourse'.
