Gallup: More Americans Favor Stricter Gun Laws

  1. For starters, it has been explained to you numerous times how that poll data is worthless in the manner you are using it.

Secondly - more threats, dehumanizations and desires to 'rid yourself of undesirables'. You are really quite the piece of work aren't you? Wow.

    As for Nikto:

"Guns should be restricted to competent people who need them for legitimate purposes. Like, say, the well-regulated militia of the Second Amendment."

    Uhhhm, yeah - that's everybody.

Why, oh why, did you not mention the other Gallup poll where 56% of Americans think more concealed weapons would make people safer? It's conveniently selective blogging, don't you think? Lord knows any professor I ever had would've dinged me for leaving that out except in a rhetoric exercise (and there's a reason many ancient Greeks despised rhetoricians as professional liars, though eventually they all adopted the techniques because it's so useful on the ignorant). And the "harder" the science, the bigger the ding, up to and including automatic failure. Hint, "social sciences" aren't science, despite their pretensions.

Heck, you didn't even mention (from the poll you linked) that support for a handgun ban is at near all-time lows. Or that the firearm murder rate is at historically low levels (though rising in places such as, surprise, surprise, Baltimore and St. Louis -- any theories on why that might be happening now?).
