The majority of the people who signed for sought secession and of those who served as confederate politicians were members of the Democratic party.
Since the confederate flag apparently is and forever will be the symbol of the hate of that conflict - I propose we treat the Democratic party in the same manner. After all, if those who wish to display said flag simply cannot be doing so for any other reason than hate and racism - then the same MUST be applied to those who would claim the political party as hate and racism.
