OK, let's see. First we write a law that the hospitals have to treat people without insurance. The we complain that the taxpayers are having to cover the people who get treated without insurance. Then we write a law that has the taxpayers give insurance to the people who don't have insurance. Now we're crowing about the hospitals not having to cover as many people getting treated without insurance.
All you've done is change the middle man of the equation - you haven't saved anything.
